4/7/2015 133 Notes
I’m including this note in every set of rankings because I think it’s important that people read this to get my perspective. As you know I always have put a premium on looking at the whole picture. While I give tremendous weight to NCAA’s I’ll never be completely beholden to them. I’m not taking away anyone’s All-American medal, nor am I implying that they aren’t deserving of the placement they achieved. I think it's important to not be a prisoner to 3 days in March.  There's months of data that still does have value.  I refuse to ignore it.  Placing 4th at NCAA’s does not necessarily mean you had the 4th best collection of wins and losses on the year. Yes, that could even include you being behind someone you beat head to head at NCAA’s. I’m not telling you how to think, I’m telling you how I think.

Brewer is undeniable at #1.  Schopp was tough to place with his wins over Dardanes, Gulibon, Bruno and DiCamillo ALL at NCAA's but losses to Richardson at NCAA's and Perry at EWL's hinder his ascent.  Mason Beckman was another tough guy to peg.  Like AJ he had a not so good loss at conference and followed it up with a bad round 1 loss (Jade Rauser in Mason's case).  Then they both went on complete tears.  So yes, he beat Hall, but Hall only fell to Mason and Clark at NCAA's.  Mason had worse losses on the year and I think Halls wins hold up. (He's the -1 portion of Cody Brewer's season record).

First-Time Home Buyer Mortgage Risk Edge Up Team Thayer Real Estate news.

The first-time buyer share in April, May, and June was launched to new highs, supported by improvements in the labor market, riskier mortgage lending, and continuing low mortgage rates. The  American Enterprise Institute (AEI)  International Center on Housing Risk  recently released a  report , finding that first-time buyers account for 58.8 percent of primary owner-occupied home purchase mortgages with a government guarantee, up from 57.2 percent the prior June, according to the Agency First-Time Buyer Mortgage Share Index (FBMSI). Understanding the tax advantages and disadvantages of homeownership #realestate #taxadvantage #taxes #housing #market

It’s no secret that some of the major perks of homeownership are the tax write-offs and advantages that follow the purchase. In fact, according to a 2015 survey by the National Association of Realtors, 80% of homebuyers see homeownership as a good investment, and 43% think it’s better than investing in the stock market. Reaping the rewards of mortgage interest and property tax deductions is just one way to think of your home as an investment. But there are even more real estate–related tax advantages and disadvantages that can slip under a new homeowner’s radar. It can be relatively easy to trigger tax liabilities or perks (and then fail to claim them) on that new piece of  Eugene, Or, real estate . This is why it’s essential to touch base with your tax pro before every real estate transaction, no matter how minor a question you may have. Sometimes planning and timing make a major difference in the financial impact of a real estate–related tax; other times, ...
